The Struggle over the Mode of Thinking in the Working-Class Movement
Published in 1995

The problem of the mode of thinking has acquired decisive significance for the working-class movement, for the class struggle as well as for revolutionary party building and for the building of socialism. The societal struggle between the proletarian and petty-bourgeois modes of thinking is the material basis for the development of class consciousness and thus for the progress of the class struggle.

Revolutionärer Weg, No. 26, develops the doctrine of the mode of thinking for the first time and proves its agreement with Marxism-Leninism. It derives the doctrine materialistically from the changes in society and by evaluating the theory and practice of class struggle in the Federal Republic of Germany and taking into account the experience of the international Marxist-Leninist and working-class movement.
It provides guidance as to how the Marxist-Leninist and working-class movement can successfully deal with the petty-bourgeois mode of thinking, which penetrates through a thousand channels into the proletarian movement. It establishes the necessity of work on the basis of the proletarian mode of thinking.
